Structure of an Argon Stirring Lance

Secondary refining is an important step in metallurgy used to produce high-quality steel. This process usually takes place in ladle furnaces, where an inert gas—mainly argon—is blown into the molten steel through an argon stirring lance. The argon gas helps remove unwanted elements and improves the mixing of the molten steel, resulting in a more uniform composition.
