Solar Energy and its trend in Europe:
Solar energy remains to be the fastest-growing renewable energy resource, accounting for more than half of the 302 Gigawatt (GW) of renewable capability installed globally in 2021. Solar energy and heat are crucial for lowering the natural gas. Rooftop solar costs have fallen by more than 80% in the last decade, but the technology will merely supply 5% of European Union electricity by 2020. Solar energy’s impact to heat production was substantially smaller, at 1.5%.
The European Commission has made a schedule of 2027 for commercial and public constructions to install rooftop solar, and 2029 for domestic buildings. The EU’s renewable energy goal has been raised from 40% to 45%.
