Steel Industry is where it is very important to deliver safe working environment to the workers to prevent them from any burns or injuries as they have to work in the hot and noisy environment daily and it also demand regular heavy tasks. Human safety and development have therefore become a primary goal for any Steel Industry. The realization of the safety by the workers also helps them to work efficiently and productively. This is why all the Steel Industries are emphasizing on the safety measures of the working environment and the World Steel safety data also shows steady and noticeable reduction in the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate.

Steel is a product of huge, technologically sophisticated industry with significant material flow and revenue generating links. It is considered as the strategic asset and the most vital modern goods for every industrial nation. Steel has a wide range of applications from building to industrial gear to consumer goods. Depending on the type and quantity of raw materials utilized it is considered as one of the technologically rich businesses.
The most difficult part is to learn how to produce the steel efficiently considering the workers safety which is an important factor for the executives.

Therefore, learning more about the steel business and furnace types helps in the better production of steel.
Steel can be produced either from steel scrap with an electric furnace route or from iron ore with blast furnace route.
Electric Furnace (EF) – The steel scraps are fed in the furnaces to melt the scraps using high-powered electric arcs. The furnaces can also directly reduce iron to liquid steel achieving same quality as of an integrated steel factory.
Blast Furnace (BF) – The primary step of blast furnaces is to turn iron oxides into steel. Iron ore, sinter, pellets, coke and fluxes like lime-stone, quartzite and pyroxenite reacts with oxygen from preheated air in the blast furnace to produce hot metal steel (liquid iron).
According to World Steel Association roughly 28% of the global steel output is expected to be generated by EF in 2020.
Human Safety in Steel Industry

The steel sector generally employs individuals with various skills and diverse knowledge having the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. According to International Labor Organization, China by far has the greatest workforce.
Conferring to safety measures in the steel industries is very important therefore everyone should commit to safety on a continuous basis. It is an important gesture of the steel plants to provide safety to each and every individual. Mostly, the Senior Management are provided with the responsibility to look after this.
Daiwa CA Lance: A safety solution to our valuable workers

When you are considering safety at your steel plants to improve working conditions for all labors, we have a solution with high performance in heat resistance and safe operations.
Daiwa CA Lance is the main product for steel industries especially for EAFs. The colorization and ceramic layer both inside out of the pipe makes it stand for much higher time than any other normal carbon steel pipe. This is the reason the CA lance is the best option for injecting carbon in the steel making process.
This CA lance lasts 3-10times longer than any mild steel pipes in consideration of the conditions of the lance used. Careful operation and safety precaution is required while working in front of the Furnaces. In this case, changing the number of pipes continuously might distract the workers from their focus therefore using CA lances shall minimize this difficulty and help the working labors to work safely and also efficiently.
The CA Lances is available in different specifications of Threads. Both Threadless and Threaded Coupling are manufactured according to the requirement of the customers.
