Among all the lancing solutions that we already know, today we are going to discuss about the two Lances namely SC Lances and Thermic Lances and their uses in the scrapyard.
Use of Daiwa’s SC Lance/ Thermic Lance in the Scrapyard:

Daiwa’s SC Lance is a mild steel pipe with no oil or grease present on the surface of the pipe. It can generate heat of more than 3000°C by blowing oxygen. This pipe is mainly used for cleaning/removing stuck slag and metals for blast furnace steel mills. Other than that, these lances can also be used for cutting scrap materials together with Thermic Lances.
Daiwa’s Thermic Lance is a welded carbon steel pipe filled with steel wires and inner pipe. It generates a powerful flame of 4,000℃ while burning. Though this pipe is used for cleaning stuck metal, drilling materials and many others but the one of its main usages also lies in the field of scrap cutting.

Usage of Daiwa’s SC Lance with the help of Thermic Lance for Scrap Cutting:
While cutting scrap the Thermic Lance is used at first to create the hot melted portion of the scrap. Then the SC Lance is used in scrap cutting. This method of scrap cutting helps in saving the cost and also the time.

This is how the Thermic Lances and the SC Lances are used in combination in the scrap cutting process.
