Apart from this, the CA Lance Pipes has a wide area of applications. Today we are introducing a special application of CA Lance for protecting the tube of Thermocouple.

As the Thermocouple is used for measuring the melted metal temperature of copper or zinc, the process is to insert the thermocouple to the CA Lance Tube, and it is then dipped in the melted metal to measure the temperature.
In this way, the CA Lance helps in protecting the Thermocouple against high heat and corrosive liquid metal.

Size and specification:
The main size of this CA Lance is of OD 27.2 x 3.9mm x 2.0-meter length (sizes may differ according to the customer’s requirement).
The above image shows that the CA Lance has one end welded and closed.
This is an interesting usage of CA Lance which has longer life and reduces the working time. It also saves the time in the steel making process in Electric Arc Furnace and ensures safety to the workers.
