As we know the Thermic Lance by Daiwa is a steel pipe. The inside of the pipe is filled with inner wires which helps in producing high temperature and powerful flame of up to 4000℃ with Fe+O2à Fe2O3+Heat reaction.
The high temperature with pressurized oxygen inside the ignited steel pipes helps the pipe to burn itself producing high heat. The steel wires inside the metal tube promotes combustion and it is then used in multiple ways in the steel industries.

Types of the Thermic Lances:
TYPE – T
This type of lance is called the Double tube lance. These lances generally produce straight flames to splash out the materials for making holes or breaking it up at a high speed.
TYPE – W
These lances have steel wires packed inside producing wider flames than TYPE – T at high temperatures to dissolve solid materials with high melting points.
Application:
It is used for opening Iron Notch, Cupola, Electric Arc Furnace and Blast Furnace.
Removing stuck slag and metal from mixer car.
Cleaning tundish nozzle and ladle nozzle from casting equipment.
Cutting and clearing solidified spillages of metals. Removing deposited metal from EAF or Converter. Cutting large scrap objects steel piles.
Suitable Thermic Lance for your Protection:

As the Thermic Lance of Type T is in general suitable for cutting solidified spillages of metals, large scrap objects and cutting steel piles.
Whereas, the Thermic lance of TYPE W is generally used for cleaning tundish nozzle in casting and ladle nozzle, removing stuck slag and solid metals.

The Thermic Lance with half wire is one of the special pipes. As we have found that the customers are concerned about the laborers and as the full wired Lances are too heavy to handle for the operators, here this Half Wired Thermic Lances comes to the rescue. This reduces the weight of the pipes as well as this saves the materials and also the cost of the customers as there is no wastage of the leftover wires which is ultimately preventing the environment.

Use with No Connect –
Plain Ends – When one piece of the lance is enough to complete the work, the customers prefer plain ends.
Use with thread and socket –
Thread and socket – This method of connection is used by many customers as there is no wastage of the half used Thermic Lances.
